NRL referees have been told to treat high-contact like punching and sin-bin any player who makes direct contact with an opponent’s head.
- Referees will send any player guilty of direct or forceful contact to the head to the sin-bin
- Players have been charged for contact to the head and neck 700 per cent more this year than in 2017
