As Jarryd Hayne took the stand for the first time at his trial in the Newcastle District Court the jury also heard a tapped phone conversation between the fallen NRL player and Knights captain Mitchell Pearce.
Hayne is facing two counts of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent recklessly inflicting actual bodily harm.
