Rugby league great Phil Gould has so far been left impressed with the effort from Newcastle but feels the Eels haven’t shown up yet.
“Parramatta are not as crisp, they look a little bit flat to me given they’ve travelled up,” Gould said on Nine’s commentary.
“They’re not themselves right at the moment and Newcastle are right in their face.”
“I still think this game starts with 20 minutes to go. If Newcastle are in it, they can frustrate Parramatta out of it.
