NRL coaches explain why new field-goal rule ‘won’t be utilised’ – Fox Sports
Two leading NRL coaches believe the controversial two-point field-goal will have as little impact on the game in 2021 as the 20/40 rule did last season.

The NRLs independent commission rubber-stamped eight new rule tweaks for 2021, with the introduction of a two-point field goal form over 40 metres by far the least well received.
However there have only been two successful field goals from that range in the last five years and Manly coach Des Hasler and Souths assistant Jason Demetriou dont believe it will be a factor in most games.
