“Relax, it’s only one game,” is what every fan coming off a Round 1 loss has fired back at their mates this week.
And theyre right. The Roosters lost their opening games of 2018 and 2019 but went on to win their back-to-back premierships those seasons.
For most clubs, the first couple of rounds are an opportunity to introduce new combinations and tweak the team until the winning line-up is discovered.
But for clubs already settled, like the Storm and Panthers, its about either picking up from the previous seasons momentum or in the Knights case starting completely afresh.
