World No.1 Novak Djokovic has suffered a shock semi-final loss to No.28 Aslan Karatsev at his hometown Serbia Open in Belgrade.
Djokovic lost 7-5 4-6 6-4 to the Russian in the longest (three-set) match on the ATP Tour this year, lasting three hours and 25 minutes.
It compounded an upset loss in Djokovic’s previous tournament, when he was beaten by Dan Evans at the Monte Carlo Masters. Karatsev branded it the biggest win of his career.
