An emotional Eddie McGuire has announced his resignation as Collingwood president, effective immediately, after 23 years in the role.
I try my best and I dont always get it right, but I dont stop trying, McGuire said at the press conference on Tuesday where he officially announced his resignation.
It is because we have so much going on, so much good to do and with the interruptions and pressure from COVID-19 that I committed to continue my presidency until the end of this season.
