Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull also took aim at Scott Morrison’s denunciation of Ms Holgate in Parliament.

Ms Holgate was forced to step aside as chief executive of the postal service last week after the federal government launched an investigation into her decision to spend $20,000 rewarding four senior employees with Cartier watches.
Mr Turnbull, whose government appointed Ms Holgate to lead the postal service in 2017, said Mr Morrison’s condemnation of Ms Holgate in Parliament was “so condemning and so humiliating” that it would demoralise people across the public sector.
