The deputy governor of Norways central bank who had an oversight role at the worlds largest sovereign wealth fund has been forced to resign because his Chinese wife is considered a security risk.
Jon Nicolaisen, 61, failed a security check eight months after taking special responsibility for the $1.2 trillion fund, built on Norwegian oil revenue, which owns almost 1.5 per cent of every listed company in the world.
