Noosa councillor ‘sleazy’ Jess Glasgow cops $4,000 fine after being booted off The Bachelorette
A former Noosa councillor who was booted off the TV dating show The Bachelorette in 2019 over sleazy comments has been fined $4,000 by the state regulator.
Key points:
- Jess Glasgow lost his seat on the council in last year’s election
- He resisted calls to step down after his Bachelorette appearance attracted scores of complaints
- At the time Mr Glasgow said he was “truly sorry” and that there was “no explanation” for his behaviour
The Office of the Independent Assessor said Jess Glasgow’s behaviour was so reckless that it would have recommended he be sacked or suspended if he was still in office.
It has also ordered him to pay $1,000 to reimburse the council to cover its costs arising from the matter.
