Nintendo has canceled its livestream Splatoon 2 Today is the North America Open event with names for more than 30 percent of the competing teams Melee Social.
The company cited “unexpected execution challenges” as the reason for the stream’s cancellation. However, many players and tournament organizers pointed directly to the teams’ open support for the melee community for Nintendo’s decision.
