New data shows how even one dose of vaccine dramatically cuts the chances of becoming ill or dying
New research has confirmed that even one dose of coronavirus vaccine can dramatically reduce the chances of dying or becoming seriously ill, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has revealed.
And the vaccination programme has led to a fall in the number of people dying, he said.
While deaths have fallen among all parts of society, data showed that the fall was largest among people who had been vaccinated, most of them elderly people, he said.
