Nine Queenslanders have been nominated for this year’s Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia Local Hero award, being recognised for volunteering efforts at regional bases across the state.

With just less than one week to go until voting closes, the air medical service is asking Queenslanders to get behind their local community and vote for a winner.
