Nikon has confirmed that a new flagship Z-mount camera is coming this year and that it will be a Nikon D6-beater, powered by a stacked sensor that will potentially boast 8K functionality.
The confirmation comes as Nikon’s rivals have pushed ahead in the mirrorless arena, with the 8K-capable Canon EOS R5 and Sony A1 powerhouses besting the current flagship Nikon D6 in many categories.
