NFL team doctor’s shocking blunder behind LA Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor’s mystery injury – Fox Sports
The bizarre circumstances surrounding the Chargers’ abrupt quarterback change on Sunday have been revealed.
ESPN.com reports that Los Angeles team doctor accidentally punctured Tyrod Taylors lung while trying to administer a pain-killing injection to his cracked ribs before the Chargers game against the Chiefs.
Rookie Justin Herbert filled in, and played admirably, completing 22-of-33 passes for 311 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the overtime loss.
