Latest Public Health Wales figures show that Newport’s infection rate has fallen to lowest it has been since October
Newport has recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus as the infection rate in the city drops to the lowest it has been since October.
The latest figures published by Public Health Wales on Monday, February 15 show that the infection rate in Newport currently stands at 99.6 cases per 100,000 people, a decrease from the 103.4 per 100,000 previously reported.
This is the first time since October that the infection rate in Newport has fallen below 100 cases per 100,000 people.
