Newcastle seawall collapses in heavy swell

A seawall has collapsed on a beach at Newcastle in the New South Wales Hunter region.

Newcastle Council said large swell at the weekend due to a low pressure system and high tides has caused an old section of the wall to crumble at South Newcastle Beach.
