New Zealand women score four off the final ball to beat Australia by four wickets in second T20 International
A French cut off the last ball of the match has delivered the four New Zealand women needed to beat Australia in the second Twenty20 cricket international in Napier.
Australia looked set to get home for the win and a 2-0 series victory when the tourists had the White Ferns needing 21 runs to win off the last two overs, but the New Zealand side got up to level the series at 1-1.
Bowler Megan Schutt (2-24) had been on a hat-trick after dismissing Brooke Halliday (1) and star all-rounder Amelia Kerr — who was yorked and clean bowled for 36 off 33 balls) with successive deliveries.
But Hannah Rowe kept Schutt out on the first ball of the 19th over, and then she and Maddy Green combined for three fours from the next 10 deliveries to leave…
