New York Dolls singer David Johansen dies at 75

David Johansen, the wiry, gravel-voiced singer and last surviving member of the glam and proto-punk band the New York Dolls, has died. He was 75.

Johansen died on Friday at his home in New York City, family spokesperson Jeff Kilgour told The Associated Press.
