New western suburbs school to open in time for first semester 2023

This year, the Queensland government put forward an extra $65 million for new schools.
Education Minister Grace Grace said the community consultation will begin in early 2021 to have the new school open for 2023.
“We want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible so this new school can be ready for day one in 2023,” Ms Grace said.
“An initial consultation, including both online and in-person sessions, will take part in the first half of the year.
“The primary focus during this time will be the potential future location of the school.”
Ms Grace said the Education Department was aware of the constraints on the existing schools in the region.
