New jockey for Nature Strip in Lightning – Punters
With regular rider James McDonald staying in Sydney, connections of gun sprinter Nature Strip have booked Victoria’s most in-form jockey for the G1 Lightning Stakes….

Melbourne’s leading jockey Jamie Kah has secured the plum ride on gun sprinter Nature Strip in the G1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (1000m).Nature Strip, unplaced in last year’s Lightning as a $1.45 favourite, is the second-favourite for the Flemington feature at $4.60, behind straight-course specialist Bivouac at $2.80.
It will be Kah’s first race ride on the multiple Group One-winning sprinter, with regular rider James McDonald electing to stay in Sydney for the Randwick meeting on February 13.
