For the first time in six decades, new Dead Sea Scrolls fragments have been unearthed in desert caves in the West Bank. To retrieve the parchments, a team of archaeologists had to rappel down a cliff, bringing them to the vast cavern known as the Cave of Horror, which is where they began to dig.
The original Scrolls, found in the 1940s and 50s, include the earliest known copies of biblical texts outlining beliefs of an ancient Jewish sect arguably one of the most significant finds of the century….
