New Covid cases rocketing in Leeds and Sheffield as Yorkshire records 2,380 in latest figures – Leeds Live
Leeds saw its biggest rise in months, with a large number of new cases in Sheffield too
Leeds has once again recorded the highest number of newly diagnosed coronavirus cases as the city recorded just shy of 600 people in the last 24 hours.
Whilst other areas in the county also saw steep rises, with Sheffield recording 449, Bradford with 257 and Kirklees with 157, none came close to Leeds’ total of 588 confirmed cases, which was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
This means that Leeds have already recorded over 1000 cases this week alone, following yesterday’s sharp rise.
