New bushfire campaign and app aims to combat complacency among West Australians

Emergency authorities have warned against complacency, with just one in 10 West Australians having a bushfire plan in place despite 90 per cent of the state being considered bushfire prone.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has launched My Bushfire Plan, a new website and associated app designed to guide users through the creation of a bushfire plan.
DFES Commissioner Darren Klemm said the new website and app made the process so simple that there was no excuse for West Australians not to be prepared.
