Netball salary cap questioned after West Coast Fever breach – Sydney Morning Herald
Former Diamond Sharni Layton took to social media on Tuesday to question whether the cap should be raised following news the Fever had overspent in 2018 and 2019….
The suitability of the current cap was called into question by former Diamond Sharni Layton, who took to social media on Tuesday to ask why the Total Player Payment was so low if clubs were willing and able to pay players more.
The current agreed salary cap for the Super Netball season is $750,000 with the payment to be reviewed at the end of 2021. The minimum salary for a netballer will be upped to $33,000 as of next year.
“I would like to see the salary cap lifted in 2022,” Layton said on Twitter….
