State health officials last week boosted efforts to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19.
An estimated 309,000 residents, who are 65 or older, were added to the phase 1a program of those eligible to receive the vaccine.
Phase 1a, which consists of frontline and essential healthcare workers most at risk, was first expanded to offer vaccines to everyone 70 and older, and last week, to those 65 and older.
