As of this week, 11.73 million households and businesses are able to connect to the network, making it available to 99 per cent of premises nationwide. While some 100,000 complex connections are still to be completed, NBN Co has marked the milestone as the end of the initial rollout.
“With the initial network build complete and as we embark on our customer-led transformation in earnest, I would like to announce a series of changes to our operating model and executive management structure, as we align ourselves for the future,” NBN Co chief executive Stephen Rue said in an all-staff email on Wednesday.
