Joel Embiid is averaging career-highs in points, field goal percentage and 3-point percentage but there are plenty of other strong contenders for the MVP award.
Fellow Philadelphia 76ers teammate Ben Simmons is also in the frame for Defensive Player of the Year, with his versatility his biggest asset.
Ben is a chameleon. Ben guards literally 1 through 5, and were not scared to put him on 1 through 5 on needed possessions, coach Doc Rivers said earlier in the year.
