Owner provides update after incident
Nature Strip’s part-owner Rod Lyons said both his horse and jockey James McDonald had emerged unscathed from a “heart in your mouth” moment at the Kensington trials in Sydney on Monday.
Nature Strip anticipated the jump and threw McDonald over his shoulder with the leading rider tumbling to the turf, to leave Nature Strip chase the field by himself in the 850-metre trial eventually won by Libertini.
