National Cabinet agrees to plan to open Australian domestic borders by Christmas

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has agreed on a plan with the states to open domestic borders by Christmas.

Speaking after National Cabinet, the PM said the plan was agreed to by all states, with the exception of Western Australia.

“We agreed in principle with the reopening framework for Australia by Christmas,” Morrison said.

“By Christmas of this year, certainly seven of the eight states and territories will be open and you never know, it might be eight.”
