Inaugural All-Star Mile winner suffers successive long odds-on losses in Tasmania
Inaugural All-Star Mile winner Mystic Journey slumped to her second consecutive defeat in Tasmania on Sunday.
Ridden by Luke Currie, Mystic Journey started $1.20 favourite to win the $100,000 Listed Thomas Lyons Stakes (1400m) under weight-for-age conditions but was runner-up beaten by 3.75 lengths by the Leanne Gaffney-trained Newhart ($11) ridden by Craig Newitt.
