Myanmar police fire to disperse protesters, leaving woman with what doctors say is fatal gunshot wound to her head

A woman has been shot in the head and is not expected to survive after Myanmar police used force to disperse protests against military rule.

Police fired guns, mostly into the air, and used water cannon and rubber bullets to try to clear protesters in the capital of Naypyitaw, and four people were taken to hospital with what doctors initially said they believed were wounds caused by rubber bullets.
