The Strikers Michael Neser was out for a golden duck in the elimination final against the Heat after attempting to slog Marnus Labuschagne over the cow corner boundary.
The ball skied off his bat but appeared to be landing safely as Laughlin struggled to make the ground from mid-on. But he launched himself forward, became horizontal with the ground and stuck one hand out.
To the astonishment of all onlookers, the catch stuck, sending the micd Labuschagne and the Gabba crowd into raptures.
