Murder-accused Joon Seong Tan remanded in custody over death of Ju “Kelly” Zhang
Prosecutors have revealed they will be trawling through thousands of hours of security footage after charging a man over the murder of Melbourne mother Ju “Kelly” Zhang.
Joon Seong Tan, 35, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court accused of killing Ms Zhang, who was last seen at her home in Epping on February 1.
Mr Tan, of Doncaster, was arrested at Melbourne Airport on Wednesday night.
Magistrate Donna Bakos today approved an extension of time for prosecutors who will be scouring 3,500 hours of security footage, in addition to translating text messages from Mandarin to English.
