MP pushes for Geelong Grand Final – Bay 93.9

Kardinia Park is being touted as a potential host ground for the 2020 AFL Grand Final.
Geelong-based Animal Justice Party MP Andy Meddick is behind the push, saying the move would keep the iconic game in Victoria and help the regional economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.He said the ground had the capacity to hold a reduced, physically-distanced crowd.
“There is even a local airport to bypass Melbourne and bring in interstate players,” Mr Meddick told Geelong Broadcasters.
