Motorcyclist killed, man seriously injured in separate SEQ crashes
A motorcyclist has died and another man is in a serious condition after two separate crashes on south-east Queensland roads overnight.
The 55-year-old motorcyclist from Birkdale had been travelling northbound on Mount Cotton Road, Mount Cotton, at 1.20am on Saturday when police allege he was struck by an oncoming car.
The fatal collision came just hours after a three-vehicle Gold Coast crash left a man in his 40s with serious injuries.
He was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but died shortly afterwards. The 20-year-old Mount Cotton man behind the wheel of the car was not injured.
