Motorcyclist critically injured in crash with truck on Gold Coast

A motorbike rider was severely injured after a crash with a small truck in the Gold Coast hinterland on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Nerang Murwillumbah Road in Advancetown about 9.45am.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the motorcyclist – the only one hurt – suffered critical injuries and was being treated at the scene by paramedics.
Police have closed Nerang Murwillumbah Road between Pine Creek Road and Advancetown.
The police forensic crash unit will investigate.
