Moses Mbye relinquishes Wests Tigers’ captaincy – Wide World of Sports
‘You need to get your job right first’

Moses Mbye has revealed he has relinquished his duties as captain of the Wests Tigers.
Mbye was appointed captain of the club back in 2019 in what was one of the first moves made by coach Michael Maguire at the time. He was the sole captain of the club in 2019, before becoming a co-captain alongside club great Benji Marshall last year.
With the club failing to play finals footy in each of the past two years with Mbye leading the group, the 27-year-old admitted the time was right to step down.
