More than 300 hundred wounded, at least 20 dead after explosions in Equatorial Guinea city of Bata

A series of explosions at a military barracks in Equatorial Guinea have killed at least 20 people and wounded hundreds of others.

Local television station TGVE broadcast a statement from the country’s President, who said the explosion on Sunday (local time) was due to the negligent handling of dynamite at the barracks in the city of Bata.

TVGE said that at least five explosions caused at least 20 deaths and wounded more than 400 others.
