More people have died on Irish roads in 2020 than at this point last year even with the drop in traffic due to lockdowns.
So far 118 people have been killed, compared to 111 in 2019.
Under the Governments Level Five public health restrictions people have been asked to stay at home and only travel for essential journeys.
