Supply chain difficulties and the closure of Myer stores in March, where Mon Purse ran a number of concessions, also contributed to the business failure.
Mon Purse was founded by entrepreneur Lana Hopkins in 2014 and allows buyers to design and monogram their own leather bags. Ms Hopkins is no longer involved with the business, having left in 2018. It is now run by former chief operating officer Andrew Shub.
