Most people in the market would have expected NAB to follow its peers by pre-announcing a similar list either last week or earlier this week. NAB chief executive Ross McEwan told Chanticleer on Thursday that several investors had actually called up to ask where its notables list was.
You get the sense McEwan would have been more than a little chuffed to give those shareholders the good news.
We are the biggest business bank and we wont be giving that up any time soon.
