Miss Universe 2021: Australia’s Maria Thattil makes it to top 10 – PerthNow
A surprise winner has taken the Miss Universe crown from Aussie entrant Maria Thattil in a dramatic contest.

Mexicos Andrea Meza has been crowned Miss Universe 2021.
The contest was held in Hollywood, Florida, after being postponed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Meza, who has a degree in software engineering, is the third Mexican woman in history to win the contest.
Australias entrant Maria Thattil, an influencer and fashion blogger, made it to the top ten
of the pageant but did not go through to the final round.
