Fund manager sources said Mineral Resources bought a large chunk of Northern Stars stake in Venturex, which the gold producer sold on Monday morning.
A line of 70.8 million Venturex shares crossed the market at 10:23am on Monday at 40¢ each, according to Bloomberg data.
