Less than 24 hours after making the announcement of a planned price hike of its Xbox Live Gold service, Microsoft has backtracked and won’t be doing it.
On Friday the company announced a price hike from $10 to $11 per month. Whilst not a big change, more dramatic was their removal of savings from longer plans. Three-month plans jumped from $25 to $30, and six month plans from $40 to $60.
