Mr Fletcher said he had joined Prime Minister Scott Morrison in talks last week with Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella, where they discussed the companys potential expansion of its search engine Bing.
Theyre interested in developing the presence of Bing here, Mr Fletcher said.
What we can expect is if Google were to leave, and thats a matter for them, were not encouraging that … if they were to leave there are other market participants. It will be an attractive market opportunity.
