Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli’s wife Lisa breaks her nose in trampoline accident involving their son – 9TheFIX
Ah, school holidays… It’s all fun and games until someone breaks their nose. In this instance, it was Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli’s poor wife, Lisa.
The Fitzy & Wippa radio host detailed the accident on NOVA this morning, telling co-host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald that Lisa was left with a broken nose on the weekend following a trampoline accident involving their four-year-old son, Jack.
“Lisa was getting up into the trampoline and she’s got her head down. Jack, from the other side of the trampoline, runs as fast as he can against the netting. As her head comes up to get into the tramp, his forehead hits her nose,” Wippa explained.

The 40-year-old radio host said he didn’t know what to do first tend to his son or his wife.
“He’s crying because his forehead’s hurt, she’s on the ground holding her nose. As a husband and as a father I didn’t know what to do,” he recalled.
“First I thought, is there any claret flowing out of the beugel? No blood, but then you can physically see the crack down the side and now it’s all bruised yellow and cracked It’s all blocked up behind the eyes and Jack continued to bounce, to his credit.”

Lisa has experienced severe headaches since in the two days since the incident and, with three little ones at home along with Jack, the couple share Ted, five, and Francesca, four months and one week of holidays still to go, we feel for her.
But for the couple, accidents happen and it’s all part of parenting, which they both thoroughly enjoy and are happy to learn more about on the job.
“I remember when Ted was born, Lisa and I as first-time parents had that moment of, ‘What do we do now?'” Wippa recalled to 9Honey in 2018. “And the nurse said, ‘Take him home and love him.’ It’s as simple as that.”
