‘Unacceptable at Test match level’

Cricket greats Michael Vaughan and Mark Waugh have blasted the Chennai pitch on which England crashed to 134 all out on the second day of the second Test against India.
After India had posted a first-innings total of 329, England were skittled for the lowest score at MA Chidambaram Stadium since 1977.
But although it’s easy to see a scorecard like that and assume the Poms’ batting was horrendous, the comments of Vaughan and Waugh suggest it was in fact the pitch that was appalling.
