Melbourne homicide detectives make fresh appeal for information in ‘solvable’ 2007 cold case murder of Joanne Howell

Homicide detectives have issued a fresh appeal for information about the murder of Hughesdale woman Joanne Howell 13 years ago.

Ms Howell, 51, was bashed and strangled in her home on April 21, 2007.

Her former partner — a 52-year-old man who was living with her at the time — discovered her body and called police.

He was arrested at the scene and subsequently released but has never been charged with anything related to the death of Ms Howell.
