McLaughlin fights back in Townsville finale – Supercars.com
Scott McLaughlin ended a difficult NTI Townsville SuperSprint on a high note, fending off a determined Cameron Waters to win the final race of the weekend.
McLaughlins points lead dwindled across the first two encounters, as chief rival Jamie Whincup took the wins and the Shell Ford battled through from poor qualifying results.
Starting from pole in the finale, McLaughlins win looks straightforward on paper, effectively leading the whole race to take the flag 4.2s clear.
